Juan Gutierrez is a sad little man just trying to make it by. You can't blame him, it's a little hard to fit in when you really stink. Not figuratively, of course, since he's actually a living onion! Making people cry is his specialty, and he can't keep a job to save his life because of it. Will he give up, or use this "gift" to his advantage?

Inspired by post-graduation dread, my mom's cooking, and Elton John, Juanion was the project where I was able to really flex all my creative muscles for the first time. I wrote, directed, and created many assets for the film. It's definitely the biggest project I have ever undertaken. I completed it alongside the best team I could have ever asked for through my last year of college and it was the most rewarding experience ever.  All that hard work scored us the SCAD Silver Award at the end of year Animation Showcase, and it's been running in various festivals around the country. Suffice to say, it's been my favorite project to work on so far. Below are both the film and a copy of our artbook!
